Terms of Use

These terms govern access to the JLA Payway API, documentation, transaction status service, and hosted checkout pages.

Effective: July 14, 2026 Version: 1.0 Jurisdiction: Kingdom of Cambodia

JLA Payway is an independent technical integration. It is not ABA Bank or ABA PayWay and does not provide a bank account, hold customer funds, or make the final decision to approve a payment.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using JLA Payway, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you use the service for a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business. Do not use the service if you do not agree.

2. Service scope

JLA Payway provides a technical interface that can create an ABA Payway payment request from merchant-supplied data, display a QR checkout, check payment status, return an ABA Mobile deep link, and send a status webhook to a merchant-selected URL.

JLA Payway itself does not offer bank accounts, hold customer funds, operate an escrow service, or provide financial advice. Funds move through ABA Bank or the applicable payment network, subject to their rules and availability.

3. Eligibility and merchant authority

You may use the service only if you:

  • Are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter an agreement.
  • Have authority to use the submitted ABA Payway merchant link or data.
  • Are permitted by ABA Bank and applicable law to accept the relevant payments.
  • Provide accurate transaction information for lawful goods or services.

4. Your responsibilities

You agree not to use JLA Payway to:

  • Commit fraud, money laundering, unauthorized payment collection, or any unlawful activity.
  • Use another merchant's Payment Link or identity without authorization.
  • Misrepresent prices, products, payment status, affiliation, or customer rights.
  • Probe, overload, reverse engineer, bypass access controls, or disrupt the service.
  • Transmit malware or callback URLs you do not control or have permission to use.
  • Collect or submit ABA PINs, passwords, one-time passwords, or other banking credentials.

You are responsible for securing your systems and administration key, validating webhook data, keeping transaction references private where appropriate, and complying with tax, consumer, privacy, advertising, refund, and record-keeping requirements that apply to your business.

5. Transactions, status, and disputes

A returned QR code, checkout URL, or successful API response does not by itself prove that funds were received. Merchants must verify final status through their ABA Payway records before delivering goods, services, or value.

When a merchant reuses an existing tran_id, JLA Payway may return the saved transaction response instead of creating a new payment. Merchants are responsible for issuing unique references and checking response fields.

Refunds, reversals, chargebacks, customer disputes, settlement timing, currency conversion, and bank fees are governed by the merchant's sale terms and the applicable ABA or payment-network agreements.

6. ABA PayWay and third-party services

The service depends on third-party systems, including ABA Bank, ABA PayWay, networks, hosting, merchant websites, and webhook destinations. Their terms and privacy practices apply separately. References to ABA and PayWay describe compatibility and do not imply ownership, endorsement, partnership, or agency.

ABA, ABA PayWay, ABA Mobile, KHQR, and related names or marks belong to their respective owners.

7. Availability and changes

We may maintain, update, limit, or discontinue features to address security, legal, operational, or third-party changes. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every upstream response will be complete, timely, or error-free.

API users should implement timeouts, retries with limits, duplicate protection, status verification, error handling, and a customer support path suitable for their business.

8. Intellectual property

JLA Store retains its rights in the JLA Payway service, documentation, code, branding, and original content. Subject to these terms, merchants may use the public API documentation and integration examples only as needed to connect their authorized applications to the service.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JLA Store will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, business, or data; or losses caused by unauthorized merchant data, third-party outages, delayed status, customer disputes, or misuse of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited. You are responsible for losses and claims arising from your unlawful use, unauthorized merchant data, or breach of these terms.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect customers, merchants, third parties, or the service; investigate fraud or security events; comply with law; or respond to a material breach. Provisions concerning rights, liability, disputes, and records survive termination where their nature requires it.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, the parties should attempt in good faith to resolve the issue through JLA Store support. Unresolved disputes are subject to the competent courts of Cambodia unless mandatory law requires another forum.

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. These terms may be updated prospectively by posting a new version and effective date.
